***Bike Ride Report from the Chief***
All the Current Chippewa Braves are now SYCAMORE BIKE RIDE VETERANS, and what a blast it was!!! Of course, it was not without its moments, as some were a bit rusty in their barebike skills. It all began in the steep downhill grade at the beginning when I noticed smoke rising from the toe of Golden Eagle's shoe as he dragged it along the ground to slow himself---until he got a little better handle on using his brake. A kind, anonymous Big-Brave noticed that Lightning's knees were rising slightly above his head as he pedaled and stopped to raise Lighning's seat to a more agreeable height. Golden Bear tested out his brakes, and tested and tested and tested, causing him to fall ever further behind the pace, with Big Chief Grin 'n Bear constantly in tow. Red Wolf and Lightning apparently ignored their brakes entirely after the first curve or so, as they took an early lead and were never seen or heard from again. Little Dipper (Josh Wagner) braved the course with "astronomical" speed on his very first outing with the Chippewa. Golden Hawk, with camel-like fortitude, having embarked on the trail "water-free" save the occasional shotgun slurp from a friendly native's bottle. All arrived safely at the beach, where great fun and food was had by all! Patches are forthcoming for those who do not yet have them.
